I used to work in a vape shop and, every now and then, a cannabis-flavoured E Liquid would be bought out which, without fail, I’d try to get my hands on. The problem was the taste was never as genuine as I would have liked.
My fortunes changed when I bumped into a few Dutchmen at an event, this group would prove to be my ‘sativa salvation’.
One of them let me use his dripper and I had a puff on freshly wicked ‘Space Cake’ - a flavour from the now well-known Dvtch Amsterdam range. I was dubious at first; I’d been burnt before and expected it to put me square on my arse. He then informed me that the liquid didn’t contain any mind-bending ingredients and you’d be hard-pressed to get your Nan high on it.
Dvtch Amsterdam have managed a feat far more impressive, they’ve isolated key flavour notes of cannabis and, to my mind, created the most genuine flavour I’ve tried to date.
I took to this juice like a duck to water and ordered myself a stockpile.
I bumped into Dvtch Amsterdam a few months later and had to tell them it was all I have vaped since. He was very impressed and generously donated about a litre of the stuff.
I have consistently raved on about this juice to anyone who would listen - so much so that the company flew me out to Amsterdam to compare it to the real thing – which did put me on my arse. More importantly this proved they’ve nailed the flavour match.
The icing on the “cake” was a tour of Amsterdam. I was foolish enough to let slip that
I’m terrified of heights so they put on a swing at the very top of the A’dam Tower which is 100 metres high! It was not a pleasant experience but one we all laughed at.
We followed this up with a canal tour and a walk around the infamous red light district.
